Governance

10.1 Protocol Governance Framework

MPC Governance is a participatory decision-making Framework that expands in stages as the Protocol and Ecosystem develop.

The MPC Token may be used in Protocol-related decisions under the Governance Framework.

10.1.1 Governance Scope

  • Protocol Parameters — key parameters such as the Protocol Fee Rate
  • Project Onboarding — Protocol Onboarding of new Mining Projects
  • Ecosystem Proposals — Ecosystem expansion and new functionality
  • Protocol Upgrades — Protocol and Infrastructure improvements
  • Service Framework — policy relating to Platform Services

The official Token Utility includes Onboarding Review for new Mining Projects and Governance of the Protocol Fee Rate.

10.1.2 Governance Process

  1. Propose
  2. Review
  3. Vote
  4. Implement
  5. Disclose
How a governance decision moves from proposal to disclosure

The specific powers of Governance, the Voting Mechanism and the execution procedure are defined by the Protocol's development stage and its Governance Architecture.

Matters requiring technical, security, legal or Professional Verification input are not replaced by Governance Voting alone.

10.2 Platform vs. Asset Governance

  • Platform / Protocol Governance
    • Protocol Parameters
    • Project Onboarding
    • Ecosystem Policies
    • Protocol Upgrades
  • Asset Governance
    • Asset Rights
    • SPV Governance
    • Contractual Rights
    • Project Decisions

PLATFORM GOVERNANCE ≠ ASSET GOVERNANCE

Platform governance and asset governance are separate layers

The asset rights, SPV decision-making and contractual rights of each Mining RWA are defined separately by that project's legal and contractual structure.
